Please guys if you have any idea do share..I need to know how good is Muktangan de-addiction centre in Pune. What percentage(roughly) of people who get admitted there are able to get rid of their alcohol addiction.I need to know this for the treatment of my uncle who is an alcoholic.Would reallly appreciate your help!!

They use standard cognitive behavioral techniques with also group – supportive therapies. I have no reason to believe their rates are any different than the general clinical literature suggests (actually clinical literature indicates extremely similar outcomes across various settings- so don’t be fooled by false claims). Unfortunately, relapse rates are high for all addictive behaviors and does depend to some extent on the substance to which the person is addicted, how long, and the severity of use prior to admission. Most persons who later successfully become abstinant have multiple “failed” attempts before finally achieving sobriety! So, persistence is the absolute key. Six month relapse rates of 30 to 40 % are expected.
