Roxicodone is another name for Oxycodone. http://www.drugs.com/mtm/roxicodone.html points out that they are the same drug and “Oxycodone is in a group of drugs called narcotic pain relievers. It is similar to morphine.”
It also says “Oxycodone may be habit-forming and should be used only by the person it was prescribed for. Oxycodone should never be shared with another person, especially someone who has a history of drug abuse or addiction” so you’re right to try to help your friends avoid them. Good luck and I hope I helped!

Roxy’s have a timed release which would sustain it in your system longer. It would be like taking something that says XR on it. The danger there is that a person may take another one sooner thinking the high is over thus making their toxicity levels increase. Any drug in the opiate category (Oxy and heroin, etc) has a horrible withdrawal.
