What are American Spirits Cigs and other tobacco only cigs?

Question by Chana: What are American Spirits Cigs and other tobacco only cigs?
Joel M responded to a question about cutting back on smoking by saying that he used “American Spirit” cigs with no additives. What is this? How do you get these kinds of cigarettes? Has anyone else heard of them/ tried them?

They also took additives out of the Winston lineup some years back.
