power of the shrynk?

Question by bob p: power of the shrynk?
back in sept ’06 i checked into an ER with depression symptoms. i dont know why exactly, but i was told to wait in a section of the ER under the watch of security. i after talking to the doc i was allowed to go home, albeit against his wishes. i followed up by checking into an outpatient rehab-psyche hosp. during one of my visits, i mentioned the s word and that fact that have had thoughts of committing the s word. next thing i know im being whisked away by ambulance to a lock and key facility, against my wishes. again i managed to talk to the doc and she released me after only a couple of hours. my current doc knows that i had a couple run ins with the law prior to my seeking help and that i was on probation. i am now off probation. she has me on 4 different medications. i have decided to quit taking all of them immediately. the next thing i will do is call her tommorrow and cancel my appts. and my scripts.. what legal muscle does she have? what can i expect? theyve held me 2xs alread

In Texas, if a person has the same situation you have, mainly being a danger to themselves, the doctors, family or law enforcement can go to a court and request a warrant be issued. This type of warrant will allow law enforcement to take the person into custody and have them evaluated by a psychiatrist. Depending on the outcome, the person will be released or retained in a hospital until they are deemed OK for release.
