My team hates me, should I quit?

Well you see I just made it on my school grade 9 volleyball team. The team is kind of split into the quiet and loud/ mean. I, of course, is on the quiet side. Today at a volleyball tournament I got in the way of the setter and lost the game, which caused the setter to yell and say crap and I cried…..(OMFG!) Then afterwards I went to the bathroom, I heard the setter say, ” I didn’t even call for help!” So the loud half of the group hates me now. My dad says I should take lessons and show them, but I think there is no point because I wont be joining any real out of school team! So should I quit or take lessons or stay in it and dont take lessons?
