Mother-in-law nightmare?

Question by every1lovesamixedgirl: Mother-in-law nightmare?
This is a really tough one for me, but you guys and girls give some pretty smart answers, so:

My boyfriend’s mother is a drug addict (crack cocaine and weed) and an alcoholic. She has been and still is, a pretty poor excuse for a mother. Her younger boys (15 and 17) run wild, steal from everyone, and smoke weed with her. She is pretty much an all-around mess who doesn’t think she needs help or won’t get it. My issue with this whole thing is that my boyfriend and I have a baby girl due in October and his mother wants to come get our baby and keep her overnight. I am terrified by the idea, but my boyfriend insists that this is his mother and there is nothing to be discussed. HELP!!
