Initiative 1053 to require two-thirds majority to raise taxes and continuing federal tax cuts
I am disappointed, but not surprised that The Seattle Times has endorsed Initiative 1053 to require a supermajority of legislators to raise taxes [“I-1053; A good tool to rein in spending,” Opinion, July 22]. The state faced an unprecedented budget crisis last year and continues to do so.
