I just want to ask addiction counselors how their job is like and what the requirement are before getting considered for the position. I’m seriously considering becoming one.

I think their job is a tough one, but very fulfilling, especially since they get to help a lot of people. Having a background in psychology will surely help, although I think treatment centers will require you to take up courses regarding addiction counseling before you become qualified to becoming an addiction counselor.
