Question by Mary: I have been waiting since the end of July for the Wisconsin Unemployment to make a decision regarding my eligi?
I have been waiting for Wisconsin Unemployment to make a decision regarding my previous job since the end of July. A few weeks ago I had to give a certified statement to someone from the Wisconsin Unemployment office and she said they’d mail their decision in seven days, I have yet to get this mail. I have been filing my weekly claims as such since the end of July and have yet to get any unemployment. Background: My last job made me sign something saying they’d fire me at the end of July unless I had collected $ 4k in fee, which on July 20th I was at $ 1.5k and I quit because there is no “help” to collect the fee, it’s either collect it or they fire you. Well the unemployment person who called me was extremely rude to me throughout our phone conversation and very condescending and now I haven’t gotten my determination. I think since they put me in a force to quit vs. getting fired position this could qualify me for unemployment. Ugh.

If you leave involuntarily (i.e fired), you qualify.
If you leave voluntarily (i.e. quit), you don’t.
Should have let them do it.
