How come some parents support how their kids/young adults act like to others?

Question by Alexandra: How come some parents support how their kids/young adults act like to others?
I’ve seen cases, even with myself, where when other young people whom I see that I don’t like sometimes, will just be rude as much as they can possible, while their parents would be right there with them, almost in agreement with their opinion. Just like the addictions they have and carry, and knowing what ‘bad seeds’ they overall are sometimes.

Now I’m not saying that they’re bad people for doing it, but don’t they know anything of the term “respect”, which as an adult, are supposed to have for someone either than in their own age group?
