Are there any drug rehabilitation facilities that are non-profit, or low cost? No medical coverage…?
Question by NickK: Are there any drug rehabilitation facilities that are non-profit, or low cost? No medical coverage…?
I have a friend whose son has nearly died, twice from overdosing. This young man has no health insurance. I’m friends with his mother, she tells me that she’s afraid one day she will go home and find him dead. This bothers me and I can’t imagine the burden this must weigh on her… We’re located in the Cincinnati-Metro area… Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Most counties do have services for those without health insurance. Your county social service agency should be able to provide you with a list of resources and explain the necessary steps for your area. I looked up Hamilton County, there you should contact (513) 946-1000. Explain your situation and they should be able to give you some direction. Good luck!
