Question by cinny: I have a step son who is 17, he’s currently attending a therapuetic school for drug abuse.?
He wants to attend College right after this rehab school. Does anyone know any stats or have any stories about kids in these situations? Do they resort to old habbits, what’s the percentage of that happening? He’s diagnosed with ADD and Depression. I’m worried about his future and his inability to learn from mistakes, like to blame others…

I can’t site any stats but I can say this much – I’ve known a few people who had ALL the stats against them who went to college, turned themselves around, and were at the top of their class. Its not likely, but it is possible. Someone just needs to believe in those kids.
