Is putting laxatives in my sons sport drink good for him?
Question by Matt: Is putting laxatives in my sons sport drink good for him?
My 18 year old son is trying to get fit he is 5’5 and weighs about 90kg. He goes out for runs every morning along a country road for the past month and I haven’t seen any sign of him loosing weight, so I thought its time I took matters into my own hands. The night before he goes for his run I put laxative powder in his sport drink. I have been doing this for a week or so, and I believe it has two brilliant side effects.
1: he races home to relieve himself at the speed of Usan Bolt
2: he is ejecting a lot of fluid that he probably does not need
Is this helping him to lose weight?

Ha ha this made me chuckle. On a serious note though laxatives are designed to ‘flush out the system’. He still needs the good things in foods to be absorbed by his body, if they’re being flushed out constantly his body won’t be absorbing them.
You’d be better off just watching what he eats.
