I was convicted of felony possession in Aug. 2005. I have since completed my 30 days of CWP, almost 3 yrs. formal probation (I have 8 mos. of write in status remaining), successfully completed 1 yr of outpatient rehab, have remained clean and sober for over 52 months and was gainfully employed at the same job for two years until this past June when I (now regretfully), quit my job because I was really hating the 1hr 30min. (each way) daily commute. I have excellent job referrences, have 10+ yrs experience working in clerical/admin. support, excellent clerical skills, am very computer literate and have a 4 yr. college education. I’ve been unemployed now for 7 months and CANNOT find a job, or even an employer who will look beyond my background check and give me an opportunity to prove my worthiness as a productive employee and an assett to my employer. I have rec’d no help from probation dept., edd, CalWorks (workforce center) and have also applied w/ several “temp.”agencies. PLZ HELP
