So why is Limbaugh such an issue. I work in a hospital that has a detox program and I see a lot of people that you wouldn’t expect get addicted to pain medications. They do it on purpose they just want to get rid of the pain.

So why are liberals and democrats going on about Rush, when he got addicted to a pain medication that millions get addicted to? Is it really practical to demonize someone who had an addiction. As if you, a friend, or someone in your family has never or will never be addicted to something. When they get help and recover is it good to constantly bring up the past about them?
Even drug users demonize other drug users. Oxcontin is not an hardcore drug like heroin. So is Rush wrong about drug abuse, because he himself abused drugs? Drug abuse and addiction is bad, that is the truth no matter who gives out the message.

Wrong oxycontin is a prescribed drug. And some people will do some odd stuff to get admitted to the hospital to get it or doctor shop to get it.
They do deserve punishment. As for Rush, he is adhering to his sentence, random drug testing and no firearm ownership. If you think that is too light then the laws are too light and you may be taking a Rush stance.

By the way Rush isn’t the only one to get off light.
Drug users and sellers should serve time.

Yes, it is synthetic heroin. That is hard core drug abuse. Rush demonized junkies and he is and always will be a junkie. Hypocrisy is an ugly thing and it comes back to bite hypocrites. That is what happened to Rush, let it serve as an example to deter others from his terrible mistakes.
