My brother has been using Crystal Meth and Crack Cocaine for many years, He’s been in rehab more than Lindsay Lohan. He is nasty and a manipulator, He acts as though the world revolves around him, every thing he does is for his benefit and his next high…He lies, cheats, and uses his own family. Every thing revolves around him, He has cause his family including me, much aggravated grief and negativity, I have tried to help him, and show him that I am supportive but he smacks me in the face with it. I give up and I’m cutting ties with him, What are you thoughts? What would you do in this situation?

Cutting tie may actually worsen the situation for your brother….but I understand your state too….you’ve tried and tried and ultimately fed up with it.

Before you sever ties….just try a shrink once. Try e-mailing him that “How you used to be”….”It’s not too late to mend ways….what life can be if he mend ways”

If even that doesn’t work out….mebbe you should cut your ties with him. If you do…don’t cut ties because he’s a drug user….but because he refuses to do anything about it.
