Would this classify under a head injury?

Question by Sakura Shaunessy: Would this classify under a head injury?
My sister, me and my cousin were playing a card game when I was 9.
I was “helping” my cousin out. My sister got mad and started yelling at me.
She had a chain and wrapped it around her fist then punched me behind my left ear.

I was dizzy and confused at first, I went into the bathroom and cried and tried to calm myself down.
Later on, I felt sick to my stomach, didn’t eat much, and had a severe headache.
I tried to sleep but the headache it seemed followed me there? I felt sluggish, and whenever I moved, I felt the headache got worse. I couldn’t sleep well, and it seemed when I was sleeping the pain eased a bit, but I could still feel it. In the morning, of the next day, I told my grandma [I live with her as my mom is a crackhead and my dad is on parole for meth] I had a bad headache. She gave me 2 red pills of advil or ibprofen..

The headache eventually faded. I didn’t tell because I didn’t want to be a tattletale and my sister had threatened me saying if I told she’d do worse to me. Which I believe.

I’m wondering if this would classy under a head injury as I am now 15 and get chronic headaches AND I’ve been getting more forgetful.

Please help!

I would say, now mind you I haven’t met you nor have seen x-rays of your skull, but based on your memory of the symptoms. Yes that sounds like a serious head injury, based on the confusion, dizziness and mostly nausea. I would go to a doctor if I were you. When you are young, your brain doesn’t exactly fit in your skull. in our teenage years, our brain is at it’s largest. So if there were an injury that left behind scar tissue it may be getting pushed against the cranium wall. It could be a coincidence or it could be a problem that has been festering.
