Scenario:

You’re running away from the coppers – you just managed to escape jail, where you were 2 years into serving a life sentence – you’re running through the woods, the icy cold woods with snow everywhere. It isn’t hard to hear the coppers and the dogs barking not far behind you. It’s useless, you drop to your knees in despair. Your shirt is torn, and you’re half topless.

You drop your head to your chest, prepared to give up, then you remember – that syringe full of crystal meth – you pull it out of your pocket, and without hesitation, you slam it your arm! About 7 seconds later you experience an intense rush of pleasure, followed by an internal feeling of warmth and an undeniable feeling of invincibility.

You get to your knees, and turn around to face 6 dogs running toward you – those blasted coppers let them off the leach – you simply stand there and breath out a gust of air – the dogs screech to a stop a feel your mighty fearless presence, they sense something is terribly wrong, and run back in the opposite direction.

You then blast away into the woods, ripping through branches, tearing through icy rivers – never to be seen again. They consider you a goner, but with the stamina of crystal meth, you were able to make it to the other side of the woods 12 hours later and collapsed with exhaustion at a trusted friends place, subsequently recovering in a few days.
