Would I trigger any schizo effects on marijuana after coming off Risperdal?

Question by : Would I trigger any schizo effects on marijuana after coming off Risperdal?
My doctor took me off Risperdal a week ago after about a month on it. I had trouble with hearing voices curse me every second. It magically stopped with the medicine, thank God. Now I wanna get blunted. The voices might have originated from marijuana, I’m not entirely certain of it. Would this happen again if I began smoking weed or has the Risperdal done the trick once and for all?

Risperdal doesn’t cure something once and for all. There is always the chance it could come back.

If I were you, I wouldn’t take the chance on smoking again.

I think it’s better to give up something forever then, to hear voices in my head.

You are the only one who, can decide if you are willing to take the risk.

“”I have seen many cases of exacerbations of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder brought on by marijuana use,” said psychiatrist Kenneth Certa, M.D., a member of the Section Council on Psychiatry. “Another problem I can see is that the marijuana in the community is often not very pure and is frequently adulterated with PCP [phencyclidine, an hallucinogen], which can also
cause problems with psychosis.” – http://psychnews.psychiatryonline.org/newsarticle.aspx?articleid=112336

The risk to develop psychotic symptoms and also schizophrenic psychoses is thus explicitly elevated for young people who use cannabis. – http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19080993

“Cannabis use during adolescence and young adulthood increases the risk of psychotic symptoms, while continued cannabis use may increase the risk for psychotic disorder in later life, concludes a new study published online in the British Medical Journal.” – http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/03/110301184056.htm
