The following is a brief synopsis of “The Violin Player”: Walter Sumner, 44-year-old owner of a Chicago commodities firm, reluctantly takes his place at the head of the family table after his mother dies suddenly of a heart attack. When he attempts to post her date of death on the family’s GenealoG webpage he finds that her d.o.d. is already there. Walter does further research and discovers that his mother’s date of death was posted before her death.

As the primary heir to his mother’s estate the police consider Walter the prime suspect. Then another family member’s future d.o.d. is posted and Walter Sumner sets out to find this phantom-like family stalker as the clock ticks down.
