Will this keep one from being physically or mentally addicted?
Question by trey: Will this keep one from being physically or mentally addicted?
I have a friend who was a hydrocodone addict of a year or so.
He got tired of being a slave financially to this habit and broke it,went through the withdrawals cold turkey, roughed it out and conquored it. He realized just how serious this drug can be,and how easy it is to be taken away with them.
Is it possible(I’m worried, however confident in him) for him to take a hydrocodone every other day, missing a day in between(if not more days) and not build a physical/mental dependance?as long as he does not take is 2 straight days, shouldnt it be able to stay consistant and dependant free?
(His habit was anywhere from 3-6 10/500mg’s daily, never missing a day, always in a complete cloud and numb to everything around him.)
I know he’s strong, works out, works, trains and has a healthy mindset. He doesnt like drinking, smoking pot, meth heroin,etc.. I beleive he can use his drug of choice strictly as a nightly cocktail 1-3x per week and not become grasped all over again,if he persist on working out and living a healthy lifestyle.
What is your experience?

Anybody who likes something enough to become addicted can not do it socially once the habit is broken without the risk of becoming addicted again. Addiction’s 1st step is LIKING something ALOT.
Even if you kick the addiction – you will still LIKE it just as much.
An addictive personality would be foolish to take such a risk.
