Is no one else picking up on how the media is deliberately brainwashing people into believing that Armstrong had a ‘meltdown’ at the corporate orgy of a ‘music fest’ that was iHeartRadio?
Ok, the band gets their set cut short while they’re performing. First of all, that just shows how this was no real music festival. You don’t cut a band short while they’re playing. That’s not in the interest of music. That’s in the interest of corporatism. They were trying to get ‘more mainstream artists’ onto the stage. So it’s not about musicianship or the love of live music, it’s about what’s going to generate the most revenue. I’m not surprised at all by this, and neither should Billie Joe, but it’s still complete CRAP.
So, after realizing they’re cutting him short, he say’s, and not in these words: “WTF? This is B/S. I came here to play this huge event as a rock headliner, and you’re cutting me short to put on some absolute SH*T pop/mainstream crappy, soul-less music? That’s not cool iHeartRadio, not cool at all. In fact, it’s a bit of a d*ck move. Now I’m gonna smash my guitar, in defiance of this bullsh*t.” *SMASH*
Is that not what art is about? Defiance of mind-less corporatism? Non-conformity? Expression of individuality and appreciation of the collective consciousness?

“NO, let’s put on Justin Bieber. Get these guys, with their ‘political’ and ‘socially aware’ music off stage, and put on Justin Bieber. Young girls absolutely LOVE Justin Bieber That will generate some serious revenue.”
Yeah, and Billie Joe recognized this crap for what it was and told these corporate scumf*cks where to shove it. And he did it like a f*cking ROCK STAR. AND he did it right there on center stage. Like a BAWSSSS.
So now, according to the TV, internet, and even my local rock radio station, Billie Joe Armstrong had a ‘meltdown’ and entered rehab. WTF? He didn’t have an effing ‘meltdown’, he called a spade a spade and he did it with nuts. I don’t care if he was a little tipsy. I don’t care if he was drunk.. and high on PCP and Crack. He told the truth. Now, literally everywhere you look they’re saying he had a ‘meltdown’. Total CRAP. “He was suffering from substance abuse and has entered rehab.”
Did we forget that rock stars are supposed to abuse substances, challenge authority, and smash their f*cking guitars? When did this become unacceptable behavior for a rock star?
Now they are telling you what to believe, what to think. “You don’t need to think for yourself, we’ve done it for you. You think he had a ‘meltdown’. You think he is an out-of-control substance abuser. You think he was foolish to behave that way. You think he was in a drunken rage when he violently smashed his guitar and ‘ranted’. You can’t believe he did that. You’re glad he checked into rehab. You hope he gets better.”
What a total load of sh*t. Are people actually buying this crap? Because it’s on literally every news story on tv, internet, radio, etc. Do any of you actually believe what the media is obviously trying to make you believe? Or do people still think for themselves and see through the bullsh*t?

Oh, and another thing, notice how every story refers to what he said as a “bizarre rant”. That’s what they’re trying to make YOU believe. It was no f*cking ‘bizarre rant’. It was an accurate account of what was happening, and a rock star reaction to bullsh*t. Not bizarre, no rant. They say that to make you feel like if you don’t agree that it was ‘bizarre’ then YOU’RE bizarre too! Notice how they do that?
“What he did was crazy and if you don’t agree that it was crazy, well then… YOU’RE crazy!”
See? See how they do that?

I should clarify for people telling me I shouldn’t care abut things like this or I shouldn’t care abou celebrities. I DON’T. What I care about is someone standing about, calling b/s for what it is, and then the corporate owned media goes out for the corporate owned music scene to basically brainwash everyone into believing this guy had some bizarre meltdown. That’s what I care about. Lack of objectivity in the media, corporate owned everything with the audacity to outright tell people what they should think. That’s what this post is about.
