Why is “Gangster rap” and the “Ghetto” looked down upon?

Question by Spaze: Why is “Gangster rap” and the “Ghetto” looked down upon?
I wear baggy clothes, with a lot of “bling”. But i’ve been looked down upon by police, school teachers, and even my family. And why is gangster rap considered such a bad music genre? I mean, is it because they say what they say, Clearly? Like the song bricks, a very good song about selling crack/cocaine. And it’s looked down upon like the worst song ever made. And yet Seal, a black man married to a supermodel makes a song called “Kiss from a Rose”. I’m sure some of you have heard it, a very beautiful song, but did you know that the song is actually about being high on cocaine?
And yeah, i’m was born in san diego, and i’m currently living in Detroit michigan on the mile of seven. I’m a smart kid, but i like the culture, 1
