Why does YAHOO continue to permit impersonation?

Question by Omphalos: Why does YAHOO continue to permit impersonation?
I am ANGRY that x-rated groups continue to email me relating they are “confirming” my wanting to join. Not only have I never investigated these groups, I find them to be offensive and think it is pathetic that anyone would want to. Numerous times I’ve complained, that I am being impersonated by whoever is making these “requests” I’ve filled out the abuse forms with the headers from the emails and asked REPEATEDLY that yahoo change the policy and REQUIRE that whoever is making the request to join an ADULT GROUP also be the person holding the email address used. Seems simple enough. Why would I join a group, but use someone else’s email to do so? The “help” is ineffective there are TWO more of these weird emails from weirdo yahoo groups. I am offended by these emails and WANT it to be stopped. Any thoughts on it?

Grow up, you use Windows to go on the internet, most probably use MS IE and instant messaging. and your blaming yahoo, for all your problems, there are more than 1000 Viruses, Spyware. Malware realest every week for windows, and you complain about Yahoo, Complain to Microsoft or move to a more secure operating system, better still learn how to use and secure your e-mail client
