why does cheerios and juice make me go to the restroom?

Question by fdsgdf: why does cheerios and juice make me go to the restroom?
every time i eat cheerios (knock-off or real), and juice (whether its minute maid, tampico, or anything else) it makes me go #2 (like umm diarrhea) like a couple of minutes after i eat/drink it. ive always thought it was weird because no one else in my family has this problem.

is there something wrong with me?
is there something in my body or something that makes that happen?

Fruit juice or sweetened drinks can cause ongoing loose stools.

Too much fruit juice can cause diarrhea. That’s because many juices contain SORBITOL, a nondigestible form of sugar. Excess sorbitol levels cause the body to try to dilute the sugar by pulling water from the bloodstream into the intestine, which causes loose stools. That’s how prune juice, which is high in sorbitol, works. Other juices fairly high in sorbitol are apple, pear, peach, and cherry. Diluted white grape juice does not contain sorbitol; and therefore, is easier to digest

Adults can’t digest SORBITOL especially if they tend to overdo the juice. Keep in mind that you should drink no more than one glass of juice a day (about 4 to 6 ounces).

You need two servings of fruit per day. If one of those servings is a glass of juice, make sure the other serving is a piece of fresh fruit, which will provide fiber and additional nutrients. You can dilute the juice, if you want to make it last a bit longer, but between meals (when most “juice abuse” occurs), drink water rather than juice

Besides causing stomach upset, more than that; it can ruin your appetite for other nutrient-rich foods and cause tooth decay.

Unfortunately,cavity-wise,it doesn’t matter what source the sugar is,a sugar bath is a breeding ground for cavities. For this reason, I would reccommend having juice only once or twice a day, regardless of whether it is diluted or not.

Treatment of diarrhea focuses on preventing dehydration through proper diet. Most cases of diarrhea begin to
resolve within 72 hours

Continue with a diet of easily digested foods such as bananas, applesauce, pears, pasta, potatoes, crackers, toast, dry CHEERIOS( actually cheerios is good for the diarrhea) , rice, and cooked vegetables. BRAT is the recommended diet for diarrhea. thst is bananas, rice applesauce/juice , and tea.

Therefore, there’s nothing wrong with you. CHEERIOS actually is good for your diarrhea. Every individual is unique. What bothers your system might not bother others in your household.
