I know someone who was sexually abused for 2 years but won’t go to the police about it and I don’t get it.

Your friend probably feels ashamed that this happened and may just want to forget it. If they do decide to go to the police, will there parents find out about this 2 year ordeal. No one should ever have to go thru this ordeal. If your friend is not currently seeking a doctor, maybe they should.
