Why do so many well-to-do young people use cocaine?
Question by Ash: Why do so many well-to-do young people use cocaine?
Nearly everyone I’ve known who uses cocaine on a regular basis comes from a well-to-do background (upper-middle class and upper class). Some of them are even addicts. What causes well-to-do young people to become cocaine users? What’s wrong with their lives?
I’m just wondering what’s lacking in their lives that leads them to turn to cocaine.

They believe it will make them feel better and have happiness in their lives and then the dopamine in their brain cannot be produced by itself and they become dependent on the cocaine to have the feelings of happiness and ecstasy.
