1. First of all, recent evidence point to the fact that using your “hand” to swat a child can cause your child to be scared of your hand and every time you rais your hand it will instal fear into the child that is why you shoudl never use your hand but some other tool, ie a belt, brush, shoe, etc.
2. Secondly, parents in the US have been so brainwashed about the concept of “child abuse” that they are not even willing to discipline their children, thus resulting in more gangs, more teen pregnancies, more violence amongst children, poor academic performance.
Can someone bother to explain why parents have this kind of mentality now a days?
Of course, you should not spank for any stupid reason or every day, but if you have to, you must use a tool to spank with, ie a belt, so that the child will not fear your hand. Do you not agree?

well if the child can fear your hand…why cant they fear a shoe belt or slipper …..has that been studied yet? i personally think that study was probably not studied at full length.

some parents just dont believe that spanking is the best option. this does not suggest they dont discipline at all. yes ok you do get ‘lazy ‘ parents but i think society itself has a lot to do with gangs etc these days not just lack of disipline.
