Why do I have to pay to stay alive?
Question by Waking Dreamer 89: Why do I have to pay to stay alive?
I have asthma, no one really knows why you get it, some speculate its a inherited thing. Regardless I really had no say in the matter, now I have to pay around $ 80 a month for my prescription of which without I am susceptible to an attack or even death. Now I know a lot people have it way worse, and I am thankful I am able to afford this on my salary. I just think it somewhat unethical, considering I didn’t even choose to have asthma. If I had something that could have been prevented by my intervention, then sure I should be liable to pay for the medicine. I know drugs cost a lot to manufacture and regulate, but it just seems unfair that some people are dying because they can’t afford treatment. What do you think?

Make the medicine on your own if you don’t want to pay. Go to school, learn how to create it, and make it at your own home. No one is charging you to live, they’re simply charging you for their product.
