She has been proven guilty on all counts and sentenced to 26 years in jail.
1) She was a drug addict, took hashish and marijuana frequently (per wikipedia).
2) She changed her testimony several times (per wikipedia)
3) Her boyfriend fled to Germany the next day after the murder (per wikipedia).
4) She said the employer killed the girl and got him falsely implicated. However, this was confirmed to be false. The employer was given a payment of 6000 euros for being falsely accused by Amanda of murder (per wikipedia)
5) She wanted the girl to have a threesome and when the girl refused, she and/or her bf killed her (per wikipedia).
6) She stated someone falsely broke through the window killed meredith and escaped. This was later ruled to be staged (per wikipedia)
Her consistent changing of testimony shows she was an ACCOMPLICE, if not the killer. 26 year sentence for being accomplice is valid. She was a chronic liar throughout the investigation, that too while under oath.
I ask what do you amanda defenders have to say now? Why do you ignore the fact that she became a crack/cocaine addict in Italy? she ruined herself by choosing bad company. She made criminal her boyfriend. How can you possibly defend her?
If she was truly innocent why wouldn’t she stick with one story? Can some of you amanda defenders answer that?
It is sad that nobody is talking about the dead girl and nobody feels sorry for her. But instead they are feeling sorry for an “accomplice” of crime (if not actual killer).
Someone earlier said wikipedia is a joke. If wikipedia is a joke, where are your links? May I see them?
Some of you are even saying things like, “they jailed her because they did not like Bush and were against iraq war. And because they hate America”
Do such people even have any education or intelligence? Or are you just plain evil who support satan as God?
also she will be released at age 48, which isn’t old. Life expectancy is around 80 years. She still gets to live freely more than 54 years. But the girl who died was only 21!
agrarian: why would the court find her guilty knowing that she is innocent? what will they gain by this? are you trying to say that the court system of Italy is incompetent? Thats a very strong accustation you are making, knowing that 100’s of people in US are exonerated (some on death row) by DNA evidence.

I know you are trying to make an argument, and I agree with you on most of it. But just for future references, in order to make a stronger argument, I would suggest not using wikipedia. The information can be misleading, considering the fact that it is similar to this website and the source is the public and not a publisher or an author. This topic is very exaggerated and I agree that people are paying a lot of attention to Amanda, which is scary, to say the least.
