Where can I refer my father to go for drug and alcohol counseling?

Question by Alexis: Where can I refer my father to go for drug and alcohol counseling?
My father is willing to seek treatment for drug and alcohol abuse and needs help immediatley. The problem is he has to keep his job so he would need treatment with work release or outpatient care. His insurance will only cover 50% of the cost and they said he must do inpatient care before he starts outpatient care in order to get coverage. I thought it would be more ideal to refer him to a therapist or counselor he can go to a few times a week after work. I don’t know how to find him a therapist that will help him with recovery. He needs someone who isn’t expensive, but who is very helpful. Anyone have any ideas?

any local aa/na group in the area talk to your local department of human services
