Where Can I Get Free Drug Intervention Help?
The bottom line is you can’t force someone to quit abusing drugs if they aren’t ready to. It is their choice if they are over 18 years old. And these days even teenagers will find a way to sneak them if their urge is strong enough. So what is the remedy?
In many cases, they won’t even be receptive to any form of Drug Intervention until something bad happens to them, for example they get a DUI after a party. Or they start losing all their friends or get kicked out of college or got mutilated by the High School Bully.
With me it was sink or swim. I got popped for drugs when I was 16 years old. I wouldn’t do anything my parents told me to do. I was totally out of control and not going to school at all. I was 16 and only had a 9th grade education.
When I got in trouble I was sent to Juvenile Hall. My parent’s visited a couple of times but I was forced to make it in there with no money, no real support and it changed me for the better. It was learning by the school of hard knocks. My parents instituted tough love on me, and I was one of those ornary people who needed it. While I was in Juvenile Hall I was able to catch up on my school credits I missed while I was running wild on the street. I hated it but I also knew I was piecing my life back together.
Long story short when I got out I finished High School and went into the Marine Corps and served 4 years with an honorable discharge. A counselor in Juvenile Hall told me once that when you’re as low as you can go, that you can only go up form there.
And ironically I’ve had some lows since then but truly don’t believe I ever felt as low as I did sitting in a cement cell at 16. So back to the question on where to get Free Drug Intervention Help. You can go to the courts and if you have proof the Judge may write a court order. You can always visit your local police station or courthouse and see what your rights are in this regard.
