Question by Jenn: whats it like in a treatment center for eating disorders?
We have plans for me to go for in patient treatment, I’m verrrry nervous, I have no idea what to expect, I’m thinking it’s going to be like jail? will I get to have my belongings in my bedroom? am I allowed to leave the center?

Please, if anyone has been to one, please tell me all you can about it. thank you so much!

i was in treatment for drugs. i was there for 4 weeks. i shared a room with 4 other girls. we were assigned chores. we got together 2 times a day for group counceling and every other day i had one on one counceling. we were assigned homework. i was not allowed to leave except on every saturdays and i could only be gone for 4 hours and when i got back to the facility i was made to do a ua (drug test) test.

i have had friends in eating disorders treatment center. they constantly check your room for food. and when you eat in the dining room the councelers will watch you. most likely they will sit next to you while you eat. and then after eating you will go to group and you cant stop to use the bathroom because then you might throw it up. but if you really need to go a counceler will probably go into the restroom with you. i hope i helped.
