what would my psychologist tell me if i told him i wanted to be taken off my meds?

Question by Melissa: what would my psychologist tell me if i told him i wanted to be taken off my meds?
READ ALL OF THIS.im 17. and my PSYCHIATRIST prescribes my meds but i was thinking that if i told my psychologist that i dont want to take them anymore, then he can ,communicate to my mom which could communicate to my psychiatrist, and then i can be weaned off the meds… THE REASON why i dont want to take my medication is because taking the medication makes my illness real.. and i dont like being labeled. even if people arent labeling me if feels like i am. and i want to be happy without it. Im “Bipolar” and i have a past history of 13 hospitaliztions and 2 treatment centers for drug and alcohol abuse, cutting, suicide attempts, running away, trouble with the cops, fighting and aggression, pulling out knives, hallucinations and delusions…
Im on Depakote to ‘stabilize my moods’ and Klonopin for sleep although it doesnt effing help
ive been doing really good the past few months though, so what do you think my psychologoist will say?
