Question by Tiffany L: What type of counselors work with victims of sexual abuse?
I am looking into changing my elementary education major to something just as rewarding? I have experienced sexual abuse as a child . It was very hard for me to overcome but I did. My mom had to pay an hr for me to speak to a psychologist, who couldn’t help me because she never experienced this. Now I am interesting in majoring in a field where I can help children who were sexually abused. I doubt that there is a counselor that specializes in this alone.

Probably there are some counselors specialized in this kind of problems..but often the best cure is the time, and talking about your experience with someone who has passed it
