Ok i will try to make this description short. Before i begun high school my grandfather warned me about the druggies that are there and told me not to hang out with them. He said drugs would ruin my life and that i would be living on the streets killing people, robbing banks, stealing purses for drugs and that they would probably kill me someday. Now this discussion is not about marijuana being a gateway drug or if it harmless or not a drug so don’t go and attack it. Minus alcohol and tobacco it is usually the first used drug by teenagers. They say kids go onto to use other drugs sometimes after using marijuana like lsd, cocaine and heroin. Which I see a very big deal about it how lsd’s effect could ruin your life and the addictive qualities of heroin and coke and put you dead or on the streets. They say no one starts out being a drug addict they use marijuana first. but even the national institute on drug abuse say many kids do not go on to use other drugs they just stick to smoking marijuana and a drug like that can’t over dose on and not addictive like crack is to put you on the streets. so many kids would not end up on the streets in card board boxes living under bridges. I do not know what my grand father was saying if you use drugs you will end up like that it seems like most kids wouldn’t. Do you think my grandfather was telling me the truth.
what does it mean when they say kids do go on to use other drugs after using marijuana. Does it mean they start abusing pills or they go onto to use cocaine later in life. Explain this to me. I knoe a kid who smokes pot but also does lsd and does pills would he be an example of that.
