Question by help: What is the total recovery time from a mastectomy?
I have to have one of my breasts removed and the surgeon recommends having them both removed. Just wondering the recovery time and what to kinda expect as far as pain, other illness, etc.

If you don’t have any complications, it takes about 6 weeks to feel well and healed. I kept reading that taking out the drains was painful, but I did not feel anything. Using weight machines at the gym with minimal or no weight helps you get your range of motion back.
