Question by Mags: What is the recovery for thyroid removal surgery like?
My husband is having his removed in about a week or so, and he’s just terrified. He thinks he’s going to be in a lot of pain, he has a lot of fears.

What was the recovery like? Can we plan to do things a few days later, or should we just stay at home? Nothing labour but just go anywhere. He didn’t ask his doctor many questions, and never does. So I thought I’d seek out some answers on here.

if he feels great a few days after the surgery- he can do a few things BUT not drive
he’ll need to take each day as they come for a few weeks
