I read an article in a magazine (moddified, about modding imports) and this guy got a water/meth injection kit for his cobalt SS and added a bunch of power.

What is it and does it require speical fuel then?

It cools the air/fuel charge (increasing it’s density = increasing power) and in turbo/supercharged applications it cools the charger. This effect decreases the chance of detonation so it allows higher compression without using higher octane fuel (race gas).

So no, you wouldn’t need special fuel for it.
