What does this idiom mean: “Cat drug in”?
Question by S. E.: What does this idiom mean: “Cat drug in”?
Idiom is between parenthesis:
Their faces were masked, so that no one, seeing a free and graceful gesture or a pretty face, would feel “like something the cat drug in”.
May someone please explain to me that idiom?
Thanks in advance!

it is usually an insult that your throw at someone you don’t like when they walk in the room. it is an insult because cats don’t normally drag things into the house but when they do the things are normally unrecognizable and very ugly to look at and all you can do with it is throw it away
