Bradly Nowell – Rest In Peace – Was addicted to heroine, as we all later learned. Sometimes I wonder if there are legitimate significances to some of his unclear lyrics or are they just poetic words he scrawled down while high.
But if I had to guess, I think maybe it was Brads way of separating himself from death, as if he could make his soul wait or have command over his own life and direction. The song “Badfish” is all about his addictions: “Wont somebody get me off of this reef” in reference to being stranded, isolated and feeling alone. He knew he was going to die. He was aware of his choices; but his soul was gonna have to wait because he lived so fast and hard.

Bobby Driscoll song: “Bobby’s The Boy” montage – jerry jansen+ “live” track – Bobby’s The Boy – new version. Bobby Driscoll made movies from 1943-1960. He was the first child star under contract to Walt Disney in the 40’s. Creating classics like The Song Of The South, So Dear To My Heart, The Window, Treasure Island and Peter Pan. Becoming a teenager worked against Driscoll. No more baby face, no cute kid stuff. He wasn’t in demand like before. He settled for TV dramas, which payed some bills but it wasn’t the glamour of the big screen. This became a dark period leading him into heroine use. The bad press ruined his reputation. Pushing himself throughTV roles came to an end in 1960. He then went underground for 7 years until he was found dead in an abandoned tenement building in New York. The drug life took its toll. A sad ending for this very much loved child star. (1937-1968) – Included in this montage is a portion of a “live”studio session of Bobby’s The Boy. Composed and sung by Jerry Jansen.———————- (Artisan Prod (c) 2012) I created this video with the YouTube Video Editor (www.youtube.com
