1) Stop with both of these wars and cut Defense spending by half to 400 billion a year. Even if we did that we would still spend more on Defense then any other country. Plus stop contracting to private companies to do what are Military was setup for, saving an extra 30 billion.
2) Stop with the paying companies to outsource jobs to other countries, in 2007 Wal Mart got 370 million tax break for the government for outsourcing another 10,000 jobs to china. Instead give them a tax break for not outsourcing jobs.
3) Put an end to the idea that Big Oil and Natural Gas Companies are going to help move as away for Fossil Fuel. If the government had them pay taxes from the time that Chaney change the Energy Bill in 2005; that would bring in 240 billion and 32 billion every year after that.
4) Start a resource usage tax for individuals and large companies paying double person traveling on the companies dime. At the same time lowering the Federal Income tax for those making less then 500,000 a year to 12%, and for every 40,000 less then that lower it be 1.375%. For those making over 500,000 – 2 million double the resource tax, and for those that make more then 2 million double their resource tax. Plus tax them at 41% and for every 500,000 over 2 million increasing it at a rate of 1.375% flatting out at 49%.
5) Start a Government Healthcare with the focus on quality of care and overall health of the individuals, not just treating the person when their sick: overall this well save money. Each person paying in 270 dollars a year for income greater the 17,000 for a single person, and for married couples with no dependence: for those couples with dependence 24,000, and for every depend above one add 45 dollars.
6) Decriminalize all drugs and focus on drug rehab not incarceration unless the person commented a violent crime (not the believe in a high power crap of AAA). Those that are arrest on drug charges take up 72% of what is spend each year for prisons, and when released are rearrested in 6 months adding even more cost per-person.
@Freedom – Think of it as a Carbon tax, the more you use the more you are taxes. With someone like me who’s Carbon foot print is 6 would pay none, but for say Al Gore who’s foot print is 410 or Glenn Beck who sets at 654 would something like 12% more on there travel and electricity, and gas.
