What book is this (vague description)?

I’ve only seen it once… I’m positive it’s about a rockstar, probably the bassist in the band. It’s about his addiction to meth or heroine or cocaine (I’m pretty sure it was meth or heroine) and the book is his journal. On the back of the book, there was a sentence that said “(something) and (something), those were just affairs… When I tried (something), I was in love.” It was a New York Bestseller.

I know this description is really vague, but I saw it at an airport a couple of months ago and could never find it.
