if someone is prescribed aderall for add, are their any short term side effects, or long term side effects?

my son was on adderall for 4 years during that time he did not grow 1 inch nor did he gain 1lb. he stayed 50 lb. for 4 years. he was always “tweaking out” chewing on everything (which ruined his teeth)he could not remember anything.it made him very slow & lethargic. He is now 12 & he has been off of it for a few years now & within 3 months of him being off of it he grew 4 inches and gained 15lbs.he is still having stomach problems (acid reflux & vomiting) on a daily basis,we have been to see every kind of Dr. with no help. I would never recommend any one ever to take this drug.I checked it out and adderall is an amphetamine, it’s like giving a child “clean crystal meth” that’s why so many drug addicts love it.
