being a lifelong addict (alcohol, cocaine, marijuana, etc.) since age 14, i have been to rehabs, jail, and counceling. i have been sober now since 2003 @ age 41 i knew i didn’t want to go out like that…
you asked dual? i think multiple is a more suitable question. it’s not the components of the disease that make it difficult, its the cravings, triggers, loneliness, spiritual abscence, anger, disappointments, self unacceptance, insecurity, guilt and self pity that makes it so difficult. until i faced these issues i was doomed to be that guy. 12 steps of aa,na etc. works, but this is a personal disease that requires the want to do different, no matter what anyone says or does this is a personal matter and without God as i know him, i’d still be a mess
