I was wondering for a presentation and wanted extra ideas to build on my own.
Bloody hell. I have a forensic psychology degree. I ask for the reasons I state in my profile, I claim not to know everything about everything and enjoy others completely different points of views and opinions. If I wanted just textbook, I would go to the bookshop. I want real peoples opinions that have had alcohol problems, that is why I ask. Hope you learn people have the answers, not textbooks all of the time.
And I think that you will be one of those counsellors that patronises and harms rather than hinders. You sound closed off to the usefullness of people. Yahoo answers can give valuable perspectives on which to draw from. so go stick that up your ars#. You are still a student, probably thinking you have experience when you really learn when qualified. And just for your knowledge, I am a qualified RMN, RGN, MSc .You could only dream of such….

not to be mean – but you should do your own research and your own homework.
I’m in grad school for counseling right now – and I wouldn’t be if I didn’t work my butt off.
Hard work will be good for you.

you need to relax – if you have an education in forensic psychology, then you already should have been given plenty of answers from both textbooks and people about this topic matter.
And sure – experiences matter – but text books and education are BASED on those experiences – so those are EQUALLY important.
where did you get your education? I find it strange that if you have a forensic psychology degree, that you need to come to Yahoo answers to get ideas for an alcohol presentation. Why not used peer reviewed articles and journals for this?
