I am doing a persuasive speech and I need some good evidence. I want to make it as convincing as possible. I need at least three really great points, please help.

The banning of guns for all citizens will make a transition into an authoritatian government a lot smoother, and the chances for a rebellion forming will be slim, at least during the beggining.

Only the rulers and their respective armies should have guns and the monopoly on force to effectively shut down any acts of violence and protest.

Guns are singleheartedly the cause for all murders and most violent crimes. Actually murder didn’t exist until the musket was introduced in 1433 on what is now Turkey.

Banning guns will clearly get rid of most inner city violence, because taking away a permit to carry a gun will obviously stop all the current people with illegal weapons from using them.

The only way for government to work is to take away all rights that are inconvinient for citizens to have, like having guns, and keep rights such as “you can work all your life, giving us a tax on all the income you ever earn, and then die. We’ll then tax your family.”
