Tricare and Substance Abuse Programs?

I am currently serving active duty in the navy. My brother (age 18) has a terrible drug addiction and the only thing standing in the way of “life or death” for him is the cost of treatment. My family does not have the money to send him to rehab. He needs long-term inpatient rehab. My question is does anyone know if there is a way I can claim him as a dependent and get him in a treatment program that tricare offers? any input would be greatly apprieciated. I dont say “life or death” lightly in this situation. Im afraid it has come to that.

i am very sorry for your situation. Unfortunately I cannot answer your question directly. But you should check out http://www.recoveryconnection.org/. They help you find affordable drug and alcohol rehabs. Maybe you will be able to find a good place for your brother. Good Luck.
