Traveling? Watch out for Meth labs in your hotel!

You never know when you could be next door to a Meth lab during your hotel stay, or whether the person in the room before you cooked Meth without getting caught (so the owner wouldn’t know to clean it up). The video tells of a Meth lab in a hotel in Dubuque, Iowa. They say police knew about the Meth cooking going on or a few weeks, but were only recently able to go in and arrest the woman involved, due to the evidence and warrant requirements, etc. to build their case. Unfortunately, this means others were likely exposed during that time. They say she appears to have cooked in the last 24 hours. So how can you tell if Meth is being or has been cooked in the hotel you’re staying at? Look out for unusual chemical smells and/or staining. Other warning signs are listed on our website.
