Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation using MediTouch HandTutor

It is widely accepted that a combination of impairment oriented training with task specific training is essential for enhancing functional recovery. MediTouch provides dedicated rehabilitation systems for upper and lower extremity/ limb based on impairment oriented evaluation and training. HandTutor consists of ergonomic glove and rehabilitation software designed for improvement of fine motor, sensory and cognitive impairments through intensive active exercises with augmented feedback. At the same time the dedicated rehabilitation software motivates the patient to continue intensive repetitive exercises by providing challenging games allowing for enhanced functional recovery. The HandTutor system provides objective and quantitative kinematic finger and writs movement measurements and customization of exercise tasks to the patients’ condition. All the data is documented and saved to the patients electronic file within the system.
